Vitalstat does not require an email/password account for normal iOS use. Some app-owned backend data is keyed to an anonymous Firebase account identifier so Garmin webhooks, leaderboard profiles, referral records, profile photos, and authenticated AI proxy access can work.
For full data-flow details, see the iOS Privacy Policy.
1. Delete server-side data and your anonymous account
To delete app-owned backend data from inside the iOS app:
- Open Vitalstat > Profile > Settings.
- Tap Delete Vitalstat Account & Server Data.
- Confirm the destructive prompt.
The app sends an authenticated request to Vitalstat's backend using your Firebase ID token. The backend deletes app-owned server records for that Firebase UID, then deletes the Firebase Authentication user. After the server deletion succeeds, the app clears connected-source state and local source caches from the device.
If you cannot access the app, email support@vital-stat.com. We may ask for details needed to locate your anonymous Firebase UID, such as approximate install date, country, and last Garmin sync.
2. Delete on-device data
On-device data is stored in the app sandbox and related local stores. You can remove it by deleting the Vitalstat app from iOS. The in-app account deletion flow also clears connected-source state and local source caches after server deletion succeeds.
3. Disconnect a connected health source
To stop new data from flowing from one provider without deleting your full Vitalstat account, disconnect that provider in the app. For complete provider-side revocation, also remove Vitalstat's authorization in the provider's own app or web dashboard.
Garmin disconnect can preserve or delete historical Garmin records depending on the option you choose. Google Health disconnect revokes Google access and deletes local Google Health data and Google-derived AI artifacts from the device.
4. What server records are deleted
The in-app account deletion flow deletes these app-owned backend records when present:
- Garmin records, tokens, ID mappings, and webhook routing records.
- Vitalstat user document and subscription/email logging fields.
- Leaderboard memberships, daily values, groups you created, and leaderboard profile photos.
- Referral profile, owned referral codes, and referral redemption rows tied to your UID.
- AI proxy rate-limit counters tied to your UID.
- Anonymous Firebase Authentication user.
Firebase Analytics events and Crashlytics crash reports are pseudonymous operational records that expire under their configured retention policies. Purchase transaction history is held by Apple for billing, refund, and dispute resolution. Vitalstat may retain minimal financial records where legally required; these records do not contain health or fitness data.
