Vitalstat is an AI-powered iOS health app that delivers daily AI Morning Briefings, personalized sleep optimization, weekly health narratives, and an AI Health Chat. It aggregates data from Apple Watch, Garmin, Polar, Oura Ring, and Withings into one unified dashboard with scientific recovery scoring based on a personal 28-day baseline, AI-powered nutrition tracking, and social features. All health data is stored on-device with no analytics or ad SDKs.
What devices does Vitalstat support?

How much does Vitalstat cost?

Features
What health metrics does Vitalstat track?
Vitalstat tracks sleep stages (Deep, REM, Light, Awake), heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), steps, calories burned, workouts, recovery score, strain score, cardiovascular age, VO2 Max, blood oxygen (SpO2), respiratory rate, and nutrition data including calories and macros. It also provides AI Morning Briefings, AI Weekly Narratives, AI Sleep Optimization, AI Health Chat, cross-metric correlation analysis, trend anomaly detection, and actionable behavioral nudges.
How does the AI food analysis work?
Vitalstat uses AI-powered image recognition to analyze photos of your meals and estimate nutritional content. Simply take a photo of your food, and the AI will identify the items and provide calorie and macro breakdowns. You can also scan barcodes to look up products from a database of over 2 million items.
What is the recovery score?
The recovery score is a daily metric that indicates how well your body has recovered from recent activity and stress. It is calculated using a scientifically-weighted algorithm: Sleep Performance (40%), Heart Rate Variability (25%), Restorative Sleep (15%), Resting Heart Rate (10%), and Respiratory Rate (10%), each compared against your personal 28-day rolling baseline. A higher score means your body is better prepared for intense activity.
How does sleep tracking work?
Vitalstat analyzes sleep data from your wearable device to break down your sleep into stages: Deep, REM, Light, and Awake. It also tracks heart rate during sleep, calculates a sleep score, and monitors sleep consistency over time to help you optimize your rest.
Can I track nutrition and calories?
Yes, Vitalstat offers comprehensive nutrition tracking. You can log meals via AI food photo analysis, barcode scanning, or manual entry. The app tracks calories, macronutrients (protein, carbs, fat), and pulls data from Open Food Facts, USDA FoodData Central, Edamam, and Spoonacular databases.
AI Features
What is the AI Morning Briefing in Vitalstat?
The AI Morning Briefing is a daily personalized health summary generated by Vitalstat's AI. Each morning, it analyzes your overnight sleep data, recovery score, HRV trends, and recent activity to deliver a concise briefing with actionable recommendations for your day. It tells you whether your body is ready for intense training or needs recovery, and highlights any anomalies in your health metrics.
What is the AI Weekly Narrative?
The AI Weekly Narrative is a weekly health review that Vitalstat's AI generates every week. It analyzes your sleep patterns, recovery trends, activity levels, and nutrition data over the past seven days to identify trends, correlations, and areas for improvement. It provides a narrative summary with specific, actionable recommendations.
How does the AI Sleep Optimizer work?
The AI Sleep Optimizer analyzes your sleep data, bedtime patterns, HRV, and recovery metrics to generate personalized sleep recommendations. It identifies factors that correlate with your best and worst sleep nights and provides specific behavioral suggestions to improve sleep quality, such as optimal bedtime windows and pre-sleep routines.
What is the AI Health Chat?
The AI Health Chat is a conversational health assistant built into Vitalstat. You can ask it questions about your health data, such as "Why was my recovery low today?" or "What trends do you see in my sleep this month?" It provides data-driven answers based on your personal health metrics.
Does Vitalstat use AI for nutrition tracking?
Yes. Vitalstat uses AI in two ways for nutrition: (1) Photo-to-nutrition analysis that identifies food items in a photo and estimates calories and macronutrients, and (2) AI recipe generation that creates meal suggestions based on your macro goals, dietary preferences, and available ingredients.
What health correlations does Vitalstat detect?
Vitalstat performs cross-metric correlation analysis to find relationships between your health metrics. For example, it can identify how your sleep quality affects next-day recovery, how training strain impacts HRV, or how nutrition patterns correlate with energy levels. The AI also performs trend anomaly detection to alert you when metrics deviate significantly from your personal baseline.
